Week of Feb 15

Sun, Feb 15
Went to Kohl’s to exchange a shirt Chris got for Christmas (too small and red) and got a dress shirt for both him and Kyle and a Madagascar long sleeve shirt for Michael for $5!
Went to Michael’s and got an 8x8 scrapbook for my P365 pages I’m printing on my R280 Epson printer. It does a pretty good job.
Chris and I went to Red Lobster for our Valentine’s Day meal. I had a frozen strawberry margarita and Chris had 2 Fat Tires and we were both pretty relaxed! We then went to Best Buy to get a SDHC memory card reader and then on to Barnes & Noble to browse.
I was hoping to post to the Weeds & Wildflowers P365 incentive forum to get the freebie, but the administrator didn’t activate my account in time. I uploaded my layouts for the first two weeks of February to their forum this afternoon, and still hadn’t been activated by the midnight Monday deadline. I’m pretty disappointed.

Mon, Feb 16
Gym – circuit class. Missed previous 2 weeks (Michael sick, Kyle blood draw)
President’s Day. Primrose was closed as was Great-West so Michael and I hung out all day. We went to Panera with Chris before he went to work but other than that were at home all day. Luckily it was a nice day so we went outside twice – once in the morning and then again in the afternoon after Michael’s nap. He just wanted to go out back and dig in his sandbox and the wood chips. We had a good day. I got some great pictures.
Mom called with a question about FSA and her social security benefits and also to let me know they found a lump in her breast and she’s having a mammogram and then possible ultrasound and biopsy on Thursday, but “not to worry.”

Tue, Feb 17
LemonGrass for lunch.
Baked potato soup for dinner
Watched House
Michael said his favorite movie is Madagascar 2.

Wed, Feb 18
Michael woke up at 5:30 because his bed was wet. This is the first time this has happened and he was so upset. Poor guy! We gave him lots of hugs and kisses and told him it was okay, accidents happen sometimes.
Vincent Van Gogh might have stated it the best way when he said “the way to know life
is to love many things.”
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy. They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Marcel Proust
The wise person reads both books and life itself. – Lin Yutang
Jewel – You Were Meant for Me
Chris said the reason he doesn’t want more kids is the chance of losing the pregnancy, not the cost or space in the house. That’s the first time he’s said that.
Papa Murphy’s for dinner.

Thu, Feb 19
Michael had another accident. We’re not going to let him take a sippy cup to bed anymore and see if that solves the problem. I really don’t want to put him back in diapers for night time.

Fri, Feb 20
Ran errands at lunch: Hallmark, Michael’s, Office Max, Barnes & Noble; all in an hour!
Chicken soft tacos for dinner
Maggie Moo’s; it started snowing as we headed home
Watched Criminal Minds

Sat, Feb 21
Went to the new Panera for breakfast. As part of their grand opening, they were giving away gift cards ranging anywhere from $5-$100. Chris, Michael & I all got one.
Michael & Chris shoveled driveway.
Chris took a big load of clothes to Bearly Worn.

Week of Feb 8

Sun, Feb 8
Keila accidentally knocked over a Pace Salsa display at King Soopers and broke one of the glass bottles. “Clean up on Isle 7! Scratch that. Clean up on Isle 7 with glass!” It got all over the bottom of her jeans and on her shoes. She was so upset. I was a little irritated because she wasn’t paying attention and/or was messing with it.

Keila and mom went to see Hotel for Dogs and mom brought me another box of memorabilia.

I had my January Project 365 summary printed at Costco (12x12.) It turned out awesome! However, it’s $3.23/page so it will cost me (2 pages per week * 52 weeks + 12 monthly summaries = 116 pages) $374.68 to get the entire year printed L I think I’m going to try printing 8x8 at home on my Epson R280 or switching to 8 ½ x 11 layouts for the weeks. I’d like to continue with the 12x12 for the monthly summary though.

I accidentally washed Kyle’s iPod. Boy did I feel bad! I’m so careful about checking pockets but apparently I didn’t check the pocket on his grey dress shirt. All week he was talking about how he lost his iPod. He had it at Brett’s and hadn’t seen it since. This story amazingly has a happy ending…it somehow is still working without any damage!?!

Mon, Feb 9
Discovered that if I post my weekly layout in the Weeds & Wildflowers forum on Sundays, I can get a freebie (usually between $3.20 - $4.00.) Gotta try it this week!
Took Kyle to have his blood drawn for his Thursday Accutane appointment before work this morning.
There was a cute little Valentine’s teddy bear on my desk when I got in to work from Sung saying she appreciates the help I give her. That made me feel really good because I really don’t like my job so at least I’m doing something good!

Kahlil Gibran - “Lovers embrace that which is between them rather than each other.”
“If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don't, they never were.”

Tue, Feb 10
Chris, Michael and I went to Keila’s basketball game at Falcon Creek Middle School. Mom took the day off and she was also there. I tried to get some pictures, but boy is it hard to stop action! I’ll need to practice a LOT more but I think I got a couple decent ones. I also video taped part of it.
Mala asked if I would mentor her. That made me feel good too.
Sauce for lunch.
Received Shutterfly calendar.
Mailed Tax Cut premium Staples rebate

Wed, Feb 11
Gave kids their Valentine’s cards & gifts - $5 to K & K, stegosaurus for D. Keila said she was adding her $5 to her laptop fund.
Rheana Shine – the hardwood floor in the kitchen was so clean that Michael slipped and hit his head L
Kyle broke up with Cassidy. He didn’t give any details other than she is “immature” and “stupid” that she “did it once” and he “told her not to do it again”. He said he felt bad because he was pretty sure he made her cry. He was pretty sad which is why this was our ice cream night. He later told Chris he may have over reacted and he was going to talk to his friends about it. Poor guy.
Maggie Moo’s for Chris (Dark Chocolate), Kyle and I.
Finished NWR week 4 layout (Easter 2008)

PAL day that went by WAY too fast.

Sat, Feb 14
My card to Chris really captured my thoughts. I love waking up every morning knowing you’re just a pillow away, Knowing your toothbrush is right beside mine, And that after a busy day, we’ll both be coming back to the same place to be together again…I love giving each other good-bye hugs and hello kisses. I love sharing all the familiar, everyday things with you.
Michael and Chris bought me a dozen beautiful white roses. Part of my Valentine’s gift was some time at home while Chris took Michael to the grocery store. It was partially a cover up to purchase the flowers! I got an EHD for my growing digital scrapbooking stash and I got Chris a Wii speaker (so he can play online with Matt Essary and Jason) and some more Wii points to download games.
Kyle went to Avs game with Brett (box seats.)
Papa John’s “The Works” pizza for dinner.
Bought the Jurassic Park set. They’re still a little too scary for Michael, but Kyle loves them too!
Went to library. We didn’t like any of the three of Michael’s books and one of the two Chris got on craps was too basic, but I’m very happy with the 2 I got (digital scrapbooking and a novel) J

Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Sonnets from the Portuguese, Sonnet XLIII
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.I love thee to the depth and breadth and heightMy soul can reach, when feeling out of sightFor the ends of Being and ideal Grace.I love thee to the level of everyday'sMost quiet need, by sun and candlelight.I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.I love thee with the passion put to useIn my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.I love thee with a love I seemed to loseWith my lost saints,--I love thee with the breath,Smiles, tears, of all my life!--and, if God choose,I shall but love thee better after death.

Super Bowl

Mon, Feb 2
Michael had an appointment with PA Kim Thomas at 10:15. I was almost to work when Chris called on my cell to tell me the nurse he talked to when he scheduled the appointment thought Michael might have meningitis and if he had a temp when we came in to see the PA Michael would probably be admitted to the hospital for a spinal tap to confirm! The nurse also told Chris we should have taken Michael to the emergency room on Saturday. As it turns out, he has a swollen lymph node on the left side of his neck (the same side as the ear infection) and because it was tender he cricked his neck somehow.
